Based in Orlando, Florida, the American Safety Council, Inc. (ASC) is a proven leader in developing custom solutions for the Internet-based distribution of products and services on behalf of business, government and consumers. ASC partners range from major insurers, such as Travelers Insurance, GEICO, AAA, and Nationwide, to leading educational institutions such as the University of South Florida, California State University, University of Utah, Keene State University and the University of California.

 ASC is a privately-owned company that found initial success partnering with the State of Florida to implement the nation’s first online driver’s license exam.  Our achievements in this effort demonstrated our capabilities to the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, leading to their issuance of a contract to ASC to host an online driver history record portal, providing a real-time ability to secure driving records online.  Our eLearning platform serves approximately 50,000 students per month, providing a variety of distance delivery products and courses presented via the Internet, CD-ROM, Correspondence/Workbook, and DVD to customers around the world.

Through its strategic alliance with Travelers Insurance, ASC developed NotaryofAmerica.com and IdentityTheftPolicy.com, the latter of which is Travelers’ exclusive presentation of individual identity theft insurance policies on the Internet. NotaryofAmerica.com helps individuals secure and renew their notary commissions by utilizing our proprietary application wizard in lieu of completing the myriad of forms traditionally used by state government.  As a 50-state licensed property and casualty insurance agency, ASC also distributes Notary Bonds, Errors and Omissions insurance and notary supplies for Notary of America customers.  With IdentityTheftPolicy.com, ASC remains, to this date, the exclusive provider of individual identity theft policies on the Internet . In January 2008, ASC received federal approval by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) of the first-ever online OSHA 510 Course for the Construction Industry and 511 Course for General Industry. ASC has grown its catalog of online OSHA courses to include online 30- and 10-hour OSHA Outreach Training and one-hour online topical OSHA courses, such as Bloodborne Pathogens.

Most recently, ASC has pioneered the online implementation of voice and keystroke biometric validation. This exciting new technology is currently employed to validate student identity for defensive driving programs in the State of New York and the State of New Jersey.
